Hello! I’ve had the pleasure of serving as the Director in the Office of International Education since 2014. My career in international education began in 2008, at Syracuse University, where I worked closely with their programs in Chile, Spain, and Turkey. I then moved to MIT, where I facilitated internship and research experiences for undergraduate and graduate students in Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay. My passion for education abroad and international experiences is in my DNA, as both of my parents are Chilean, so I was fortunate to grow up spending the academic years in upstate NY, and summers in Chile with my family. The experience of spending extended periods of time in Chile, and also through other international travel, such as my semester abroad in Madrid while a student at Skidmore College, affirmed my love of traveling and international education. I’m lucky enough to have combined my passions and turn them into a career! I completed my master’s and doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Syracuse University and Northeastern University, where my research focused on first-generation college students and their experiences in international education. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband and son, exercise, and hiking the many trails in the area with my family and our dog, Mango. I look forward to seeing where the world takes you!
