
Katherine serves as the Assistant Dean for First-Year Academic Programs, where she works with a variety of College partners to center academics and promote academic success in the first year. Her portfolio includes oversight of the Harvard College Rising Scholars Program, responsibility for the creation and coordination of academic information and messaging for incoming students, and strategic implementation of the academic components of key campus events.
She holds a B.A. in Religion from Samford University, an M.A. in Religion from Vanderbilt University, and a Ph.D. in Religion from Claremont Graduate University. Prior to this role, Katherine served as the Associate Director of Harvard College’s Program in General Education; before Harvard, she worked at Johns Hopkins University, Franklin & Marshall College and Brandeis University.
Katherine lives with her husband, Jack, on campus in Kirkland House, where they enjoy dining hall conversations with the Kirkland community, local birding and board games.
