Faculty-Student Engagement

OUE is very interested in promoting faculty-student engagement outside of the classroom, as such connections can make the difference for students between just acquiring information and actual learning. We are pleased to support the Classroom to Table initiative for undergraduates and faculty.

If you have thoughts on how to encourage faculty-student engagement beyond the classroom, please do not hesitate to contact us at oue@fas.harvard.edu. We would be happy to feature your initiative here.

Student and Faculty Connections: Meal and Food Opportunities in the Houses

  • Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) Student/Faculty Dining Program
In order to support and enrich the intergenerational communities in residence, any FAS faculty, senior lecturer, lecturer, preceptor, or head coach is welcome to eat in the House dining halls and Annenberg. Those faculty may enjoy up to 10 meals a semester. There are no restrictions on time or which days, so long as you dine with students. Simply accompany your student(s) and swipe with a Harvard ID through the dining hall checker's card swipe. Faculty may not swipe multiple times in a meal or swipe for guests.
